Sony announced their Vaio XL3 component style Home Entertaiment PC at CES 2007 today. The HD powerhouse XL3 comes installed with an Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 processor, 2GB of DDR2 memory, GeForce 7600 graphics card and a 500 GB harddrive. Other specifications include built-in Blu-ray technology, ATSC and NTSC tuners along with CableCard support slots and the ability to double as a DVR for recording analog and digital TV directly. Scheduled for sale in March this year, the XL3 is to be retailed at around $3300.
