This CES Samsung will show off two of their latest multimedia phones: the SGH-F300 (aka Ultra Music) and SGH-F500 (aka Ultra Video). They were previously shown at the ITU Telecom 2006 show in Hong Kong. Both phones include:

  • An audio player (supporting MP3, WMA, AAC, AAC+ and e-AAC+)
  • 2 MP digital cameras
  • A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile)
  • Bluetooth
  • GSM triband
  • GPRS, Edge
  • A MicroSD expansion slot (up to 2 GB)
  • USB connectivity

Where the F500 differs is in its capability to natively play DivX files, the first of its kind. The F500 also has a swivel screen, allowing it to be placed on a flat surface for watching videos, as well as a 2.4 in. (240×320) screen which is larger than the F300. Both phones have dual face and touch screen interface, meaning one side will be used for multimedia purposes and the other side for phone capabilities.

These phones are part of Samsung’s Ultra series products which all have slim body designs. With such an abundance of features in a compact size, these are sure to be a hit with multimedia enthusiasts.
