Phillips has announced two new portable iPod/DVD video players which are expected to be available in the first quarter of 2007. Both players feature flush-mounting iPod cradles, a DVD/CD player and a built-in rechargeable battery for approx. 2.5 hours of continuous play. The cheaper model (DCP750) will cost $149 and features a 7 in. widescreen display. The more expensive model (DCP850) will cost $199 and features a 8.5 in. widescreen display. Both models also include a memory card reader (to display photos or play DivX movies) and can play video from DVD±R and DVD±RW formats, (S)VCD and MPEG4.
