Nintendo released this week’s list of their latest old school games available on the Wii Shop Channel. It’s not a big release with only three games to download, but at least they are keeping to their promised schedule.

This week’s new games are:

gradius_screen01.jpgGradius (NES, 1-2 players, 500 Wii Points) – A classic sidescrolling shooter that has spawned tons of sequels. Play a Vic Viper zipping across the galaxy. Can be played using either a Wii, Classic or GameCube controller.

soldier_blade_screen.jpgSoldier Blade (TurboGrafx16, 1 player, 600 Wii Points) – Another groovy side-scrolling shooter where, again, you are a special ace pilot grabbing power-ups and other accouterments to save the planet. Can be played using either a Wii, Classic or GameCube controller.

dungeon_explorer_screen.jpgDungeon Explorer (TurboGrafx16, 1-5 players, 600 Wii Points) – Up to five gamers can play at a time in this multi-player RPG action game. It’s very D&D but creatively combines the use of various controller types (WiiMote and GameCube controllers), which is why it can have an odd number of players.
