  1. Microsoft copies from Apple and vice versa. The looks may be the same, but that doesn't account for the hardware requirements!

  2. "Microsoft copies from Apple and vice versa. The looks may be the same, but that doesn’t account for the hardware requirements!" Can I ask you, what is one thing apple has copied ?

  3. O.K. here is some solid evidence that Microsoft does not inovate, they copy then try to make it better, which usually ends in failure. only the xbox is a sucsess in my eyes. Anyway check out this list

    1. Close Combat
Popular game purchased from Atomic Games.

    2. Flight Simulator
Purchased from the Bruce Artwick Organization.

    3. FrontPage
Microsoft's HTML editor was purchased from Vermeer Technologies in 1996.

    4. Internet Explorer
Desperate to play catch-up in the fast-moving Internet world, Microsoft licensed code from Spyglass, Inc. (one of the two licensees of the original Mosaic code base) in 1995, and called it MSIE. Microsoft then proceeded to distribute MSIE for free, denying Spyglass substantial royalties for their key contribution to the product.

    5. MS-DOS
The original Microsoft cash cow, this CP/M clone (then called Q-DOS) was purchased from the Seattle Computer Company in 1981. Microsoft then proceeded to thwart Seattle Computer's license rights to the product. The tiny company sued Microsoft and prevailed in court.

    6. PowerPoint
This presentation software package was renamed and rebranded after Microsoft's purchase of Forethought, Inc., in 1987

    7. Windows
Technologies used in Windows multitasking came to Microsoft with their purchase of Dynamical Systems in 1986. Portions of the interface were licensed from Apple Computer, also in 1986.

Microsoft is full of lawyers not engineers, they don't develop tech they buy it and call it their own. lisence it as quicly and as possible. often still full of bugs. how often do you restart your windows machine. the thing is a ram hog, my mac runs for weeks before a restart. Think about it folks

  4. Representatives from Apple Computer visited WinHEC to see what Microsoft is up to. Microsoft employees also attend Apple's shows. That's the way it goes.

Apple iTV UI looks like Microsoft Media Center. Vista looks like OS X.

  5. Since I really don't know what Media Center looks like I can't debate that. although I can tell you that iMacs come with something called front row. which is very similar to the ipod interface, and the same thing as the apple tv. Something else of interest, I just read an article that says there Might be a zune phone on the way…. its so odvious its almost funny

  6. Microsoft was not the first to make parental control on PC. The first probably was AOL. Nothing on Vista is original in the true sense of the word- everything on it has been done before. However, the delievery means of the features is in a way innovative. They took parental control and placed it on a PC. They tool Wi-FI connection and made it prettier. Thats what Microsoft invent product, they just delievery them better than others.
