If you’re not familiar with Joost, it is a new service from the guys that created Kazaa and Skype that allows you to legally watch network television shows on your computer. It’s really the first attempt a company has made to make an Internet-only cable provider.
All you have to do is leave a comment below, and we’ll choose 10 lucky commenters at random for the Joost invites.

I need me some Joost. Time warner keeps raising my rates and then my dvr resets randomly and frequently thereby ruining live & recorded sessions. I swear I'm this close to throwing my tv out the window and living a feudal life like my ancestors did, relying solely on youtube for illegal popular media.
Is this the next best thing on the web or is this going to be one of those deals where the people who own the content find they are not getting a big enough cut of the take and then turn around and sue all the zealous and excited users of the service? We better get in and enjoy because IMHO somehow, someway some greedy executives are going to try to steal the show from these two innovative young men. So let me get a look at it before it gets perverted, bastardized and ripped off by the man and tit becomes Joust.

Guys Guys Guys… I'm a full time software engineer for a major telecom and a full-time seminary student… I don't find myself with much time to sit in front of a TV… Joost could very well allow me access I do not currently enjoy. If you have an available invite I would certainly appreciate it.

Currently I'm using TVU player and it's the best Online TV I've ever tested. Anyway I wanted to try also this brand-new Joost.

One of my favorite podcasts is net@nite with Amber MacArthur and Leo Laporte, and I've heard them hype Joost multiple times. It does sound like a very cool concept, and I'd love to be able to check it out.

I'm a computer engineer and I develop products for the high-end consumer electronics industry. I always like to keep an eye on where this stuff is going, and what products I'll be working with in the future. If you'd like me to report back my experiences to you I'd be happy to do so.
