RIM has released a new full-QWERTY Blackberry, the 8800. The 0.55 inch thick device works on Cingular, er, and AT&T.
The 8800 features QVGA display, GPS, a microSD slot, Bluetooth 2.0, scroll ball, and a full QWERTY keyboard. It doesn’t compromise on core BlackBerry functionality though. It also offers email and text messaging, instant messaging, organizer, and a web browser for checking your favorite sites on the go.
I hope this and the Pearl are the beginning of the end of thick blackberries. After seeing the Dash and the Q, these phones no longer attract me. My advice, stay away and wait for the iPhone – the real smartphone. Though others may disagree.
