GameLoft games for BlackberryHere’s more evidence that the line between phone and PDA is blurring even more. Mobile game developer Gameloft will be making BlackBerry compatible games… or, really, more BlackBerry compatible games.

A C-Net article cites the release of the more phone-y BlackBerry Pearl as a motivating factor, though I suspect it’s really the company is simply looking to expand its buyer base. Games to be made for BlackBerry addicts, er, I mean users, include Pro Golf 2007, Midnight Pool, Asphalt: Urban GT 2, a poker game, a battle simulation game, and games based on the television shows Desperate Housewives and Lost. Most of the games appear to cost $799 or $9.99 and the GameLoft site already lists games for the BlackBerry 7230, 7290 and 8700.

The good news is that when you are in the BlackBerry prayer position during a meeting at work, you can tell your boss you are responding to important clients when you are really trying to blast aliens or par the 9th.
