Seems T-Mobile and others are having a difficult time keeping quiet about the Sidekick ID. A rebate form was found on the T-Mobile site that provided some information around the new Sidekick, as well as a $50 rebate for when the phone is released.
Other than the obvious fact the device will be released in a variety of colors, the new sidekick is slated for an April 18th launch date. This phone is not the best looking phone I’ve seen, but for $99.99 (after a $50 rebate), why not purchase all 3 colors and mix and match them with your outfits? I’m sure Paris Hilton will.
Update: T-Mobile has now officially announced the Sidekick iD. It will be available in black, yellow, blue, white, purple and glow-in-the-dark starting on April 25th for $99.

i like the Sidekick ID a lot. It reminds me more of the styling of the SK2 which i prefered more than the SK3. It has all the good features of the SK3 i.e. the click-ball and the hard keypad. And has eliminated the bad like the useless camera and terrible mp3 player.
For all the ignorant people that are saying that the Sidekick iD sucks, I had a long convo with a T-Mobile Representative and he clearly stated that the Sidekick iD is the best phone out of all the Sidekicks, for technical reasons. The Sidekick iD does not bring as many problems as the Sidekick, II, and III.

I dont think that the sidekick ID is ugly at all. What I do think is ugly is how the SK3 freezes up all the time because of all the useless things on there that you won't need. the only thing I wish it had was a camera, but hey with the extra money you save why not buy one..you could actually get a good one, unlike the crappy one on the SK3
Oh, and the SK3 isn't expensive. I could have gotten it. Its around 100 dollars more. But why would i pay 100 dollars for my phone to freeze up and for a shitty camera. its called using money wisely and not wasting it so i can say i have a more expensive phone. I dont need the SK3.. i have an ipod, and a camera.. so if you wanna talk about affording it.. why dont you just go buy an ipod and camera and save yourself the freezing up, and ugly black keyboard if you're so rich??
hey am getting the id i could get the sk3 but i hear that there is alot of problems with it, and i called t moblie and they told me that the sidekick id was a better phone and has a way better plan (that include prepaid) so yea (^_^)
im getting a sidekick three soon; but if this phone had a camera i would get it in a heartbeat because the SK3 is always breaking especially the side pieces; i have not yet seen a sidekick that hasnt had the broken and the sidekick id; doesnt have that so it wont break easily. you know what i think im going to the get theid instead

I have a sidekick id and I would say that it is a great phone, easy to text, has its own email, aim, ym, and msn messengers. This phone great for me because it has no camera, and mp3 player. Hey, I already have an ipod and a digital camera. I don't need those features on my phones and besides the sidekick 3 has a poor camera and yeah its true it has bluetooth and mp3 player but it loses the battery life and freezes all the time when using all the features it has. I would think that this sidekick id was a great idea for people who don't need too much features on the phone. Sure sidekick id has a slow connection on its internet browser but at least it works and you can go to other websites. The sidekick 3 has the internet but it the same slow connection as the sidekick id. Its fair to say that sidekick id and sidekick 3 has the same problems on the internet connection. The sidekick 4 or lx or the sidekick slider might be more different and more faster internet connection that will come out sooner or later. But, will see if it changes differently or will it stay like sidekick 3 and sidekick id. But overall I'm happy with my sidekick id. the best way to go for faster messaging. I recommend it to all ages.

i've had a sk3 since 2006 but the camera & everything sucks & i donT know if i want 2 geT the sideckick LX because theY haVen't really imProved much..still no video & the same wack 1.3 megapixel camera. There are minimal updates..sO Im going to just get the Sidekick ID instead

the only thing that is a little upsetting about it is that you cant change the theme,unless i am not sure how i dont like them carttoon figures on the main menu when you go to your phone. and when you put a background on them carttoon figures block the background. if anyone else had a diff. result can you help me out..

I used to have the Sidekick3 and everyone thought i was hot shit.
i loved it, it has everything i could ever need in a phone, but then i was dumb and dropped it in a drink haha so i got the Shadow which btw is WAY awesome.
But anyways, my cousin and friend Both have the SidekickiD and both hate it. They have many problems and bigs that need to be worked out and they both want to trash theres.
