Just when you think you have seen it all as far as combined tech items, DXG announces the DXG-589V. A digital camera that can take 5 megapixel still images, shoot MPEG-4 videos at 640×480 and also act as an MP3 player, voice recorder and plays video games. That is correct it plays video games, the DXG-589V comes pre-loaded with 20 games and the display can be opened up Gameboy style to play.
I am not sure how much most of these features would be used, the intended market of kids for this product would most likely still want the cool PSP or DS Lite in addition and of course the iPod could not be forgotten. However the inexpensive $199 price tag would almost entice a purchase by some parents willing to let the kids play. This would be fun in the hands of my 5 year old. I would love to see the world through her eyes in both still images and video while still getting decent web quality pics and video to share with family. At this price it would not be to horrible if it was lost or broken.

DXG should be held accountable for false and misleading claims.
They advertised a Canadian Office on their website as late as the morning of July 11, 2007.
When contacted regarding a problem with their camera not being able to take evening or nighttime pictures(despite the fact it is sold as one with a flash and marketed as one which will) there solution was for me to send them $100+ USD money order and they would send a replacement. This is the same cost as the camera in the first place and was for a camera under full warranty.
They claim it is for shipping, but they refuse to allow their customer to ship the cameras any other way (e-bay ships this same camera for $10 to Canada)
They advise it's the Canadian customers fault since they are DXG USA, however, they had an article about their cameras placed in a Toronto ONtario newspaper for Mother's Day and they listed a Canadian Distributor.
Obviously it's an excuse.
I would appreciate hearing from other consumers who are out their money from this company for a class-action lawsuit.
I have had the same trouble no flash. I thought it was me, but to hear from you I guess I'm not by myself.
