Microsoft has made a strong push for its new operating system, you know, the one that started the wow! You see Vista ads all over, however there have been a lot of current reports from computer builder’s that there is still a strong demand for Windows XP. Even with this Microsoft has announced that by years end Windows XP will no longer be available as an OEM product and by early 2008 computer builder’s will be required to sell Vista loaded computers.
Seems normal to me to end Windows XP as OEM, given what could change by year’s end I think there will be more than enough progress made and most of the reasons that people hesitate to upgrade or use Vista will be gone. Whether it be the new factor and people not wanting to use the early release or the lack of support for some peripherals, those should all be worked out by then.
