LG and VW team up on Beetle MP3 player

LG Electronics has announced plans to partner with Volkswagen to produce an new MP3 player to be styled after the new Beetle car. It will be made with aluminium parts and comes in 3 colours just like the car: Salsa Red, Shadow Blue and Sunflower Yellow. Click on for a bit more about the player…

• The device has a small VW badge on the front and the new beetle logo at the back.
• The design looks like any other mp3 player in the market, just that it is branded differently.
• It has a fairly standard specification with a medium sized 2.4 inches LCD.
• It plays MPEG-4, Windows Media Video 9, MP3, Windows Media Audio and Ogg format files.
• It comes in two capacities, 2 GB and 4 GB of which some people will wish it was 120GB.
• 2 flash games are embedded with the player for boring train trips.

This device was unveiled at this week’s Seoul Motor Show but the official release date is yet to be announced. This will be the perfect addition to your Beetle car if you are planning to get one. This new MP3 player might not be available on the market in retail, but will possibly come bundled with the car itself and even make it a Limited edition version. Nothing can be confirmed as of now and the only thing is to wait till the official launch date before reviewing further.
