A whole slew of new Sony laptops, due for release this summer, have been leaked. The models include: the 14″ CR, 13.3″ CZ, 11.1″ TZ11, 13.3″ SZ5, and 15.4″ FZ. From the 11 to 15 inch models, the screen resolution will be WXGA. As is the norm these days, the bigger models will have integrated webcams and gobs of RAM.
The FZ19 (pictured above) will feature Intel’s soon-to-be released Santa Rosa processor — basically a mobile Core 2 Duo. Additionally, it will contain the Intel X3100 integrated graphics chip, 2 gigabytes of RAM, and a 120GB hard drive.
Personally, I am going to be making the switch over to an Apple MacBook, however, these laptops are a very viable option for those not so inclined for OS X. Yet, I do wish companies would do away with the letters + numbers combination for naming their products. I realize that companies have many products, but it just makes it so much easier for the consumer if each line has it’s own name.
