SDI Technologies is presenting the new i-Home iH8, basically just another iPod dock with an alarm clock. The iH8 is an updated version of the iH5 and is compatible with your iPod, iPod nano, iPod Photo, and even your iPod mini. The design hasn’t changed greatly since the last revision but the device includes an LCD screen that’s big enough to display the time or your song info.
The dock is equipped with two 3W speakers to make sure you get up in the morning, and a remote control so you can easily turn the thing off after it blares at 6am. The device is really great allowing you to wake up to conventional AM/FM radio or to the sound of your favorite tune. Also included is a bevy of features such as: screen-dimming functionality, a sleep timer, ability to adjust audio settings (treble, bass, etc.), and the all important snooze button.
The iH8 is nothing spectacular or ground breaking, but if you’re looking for a new alarm clock, this may be the way to go.
