Cell ImageWashington has become the first state to make it illegal to send a text message while driving. Should you decide to take your chances and you get caught it will cost you $101 for the fine, which would be a pretty expensive message. Of course this is a secondary offense ticket, so that means you can not be pulled over just for texting, they would need for you to do something else wrong first. While we cannot recommend texting while driving, make sure if you are going to chance it you are not doing anything else wrong.

Washington is just the first to approve this but I am sure other states will soon follow. Sometimes you would just think people could rely on common sense instead of having to make things illegal. Driving with one hand and your eyes off the road does not sound to smart to me, it’s a shame it has to come down to a law.
