LG Philips has unveiled its world’s first A4-sized color electronic paper (e-Paper) — a paper-thin and bendable viewing panel. According to the world’s second largest LCD maker, the paper is 14.1 inches diagonal and 0.3 millimeters thin and can display up to 4,096 colors which is not much, but then Rome was not made in one day either. The incredible e-paper also allows a user to view from full 180 degrees even when the display is bent. The e-paper is an innovative energy saving idea, saves the natural resources, and brings us one step closer to real time updated content on portable displays (with the pairing on WiMax and slimline batteries).
