Dell’s Super Slim LCD monitor

As Dell looks to reposition itself in the market and seek out new niches, one very promising showcase item is their Super Slim Display Port. Dell says this monitor can get 4x HDTV resolution and it is coming this year. Who knew Dell could be this cool?

Not merely a wispy monitor, Dell incorporates audio, microphone, video, and other peripherals into one bi-directional cable. By reducing the amount of converters, Dell can achieve the 1/2″ panel depth. Expect Dell to work this technology into Laptops as well.
