  3. It looks a neat external device. I assume that this device contains a fan inside to keep the hard disk cool and perhaps a little faster. I may think that a flash pen is not that great because I read some posts that they complaint about the speed. I don't care about the speed as long as the device that provide us for something like a backup or carry with it to show our friends to look at the photos or documents using the Seagate product.

If I win this prize, I wanted to thank you for letting me to have it. I have a Seagate internal hard disk on my computer, and I never have a problem with it.

    Thanks again.

it would certainly be nice to have one.

    fakhrul
  120. I am almost out of room in my macbook. The purpose of my macbook is to keep all of my website/blog data separate from my PC stuff, that is always crashing (thanks Bill!). Ruth McQueeney
  133. with 750 gb there is quite a lot of things i could do….. but mostly what i would do is to share it on my wireless lan and play movies on my tv through a wifi HD player (which i am yet to invest on, so is the wireless lan i guess) but if your collection of movies can all be in one place instead of having those long and tall racks of dvds and having to choose a movie before you sit down is all a tiring businness….. to have choices at your finger tips is the way to entertainment…. the whole reason why the mp3 players have become so popular….. music dint get any cheaper did it????

I like english muffins in the morning but I like them "well done", I hope it has the "done-ness" adjustment that the other toasters I've used have. "Hard drive"? I was just thinking that week about backing up…so with this hard drive, I would back up my new Mac once a week, ever week. danielle spires

    Steve Randle
  177. I'd use it to build a database of all the family pictures – not just a photo dump, but a FileMaker database with fields to identify the subjects and date. We have at least 5 or 6 generations of photos, some from the 19th century, and there are few family members left who know who/what the oldest ones are. Some of us know the names, but not the faces. And the two latest generations barely know the names.

I'd scan all the images and then attach it to a server and invite the family to fill in the details on any picture they recognize.

    imajoebob

Anyway, I now have 6 harddrives in my main computer, and my collection keeps growing. It would be nice to have one drive large enough to dump all my data into, so I could keep what I need, and get my computer running a bit cooler and faster.

  253. I'm a musician/guitarist. For the past couple of years I've wanted to be able to record my own music in the privacy of my own home. I've gone through four computers trying to find one with the capacity to handle music recording/production, and unfortunately they've all failed. I've wasted a lot of money on software, technicians, and repair, trying to fix the problem. All of them said that I needed a bigger hard drive. But unfortuately by this time, I'm just simply out of funds to pay for a new hard drive. So now I'm just sitting here with microphones, software, a computer incapable of running the software, speakers, and mixers, and they've all unfortuately just been collecting dust. This would really give me the start I need in my venture into recording music. Thanks.

    Ryan

  256. Right now, I own 2 CD Stakkas filled with music CDs, soundtracks, movies, games, CAD files, photos, my websites' files, even my graphic or scanned art, and other files that won't fit in my crammed 150GB hard drive.
For now, all of my music is compressed and sounds horrible from their lack of information – even though I have pretty decent speakers. It would be great if I had more storage for the uncompressed versions of those files to bump up their overall quality for future use.
I've actually thought of saving up for a terabyte hard drive to store all this data instead of using over 300 CDs in my "Stakkas," which takes too much of my to organize and find the files I need.
I should've gotten a terabyte hard drive when I got my computer last year, because I probably wasted an extra $600 on my inneffeceint CD storage systems.
I knew Seagate was pretty good with hard drives, when I saw this ad, and figured it wouldn't hurt to enter. I mean, so long as I'm the lucky winner, I could save about $400 by just winning this Seagate FreeAgent Pro 750GB external hard drive with internet management!

  369. I would use it to combine my movies and music as well as backup any important documents I have. My current space is filling up fast, a new 750gig dive would do wonders.

    Evan Lee
  370. Store own movies

    Terry McConnaughey
  371. I would use the drive as an external storage drive for all my photos. I'm an amateur photographer who also works freelance and I need a reliable storage source for my photos. I also do scrapbooking as a hobby and I could save my digital page designs on the hard drive as well.

    Donna Holmberg
  372. I'd use it as a shared resource on the network so that all my family can go to one place for music, photos and videos as well as all the latest service packs for their machines instead of having to download them 4 separate times, etc.

    David W Scott
  373. A drive this size would allow me to keep a full backup of my drives (partitioned into HFS+ and NTFS) and give me ample room to record more of my music.

    Donovan
  374. also, I'd remember what day it is :) whoops.

    Donovan
  375. I would use it as a place to keep all our family pictures music and files!

    Jonathan
  376. right now the media in my house (all together about 600 gigs of music and movies) are on four different drives attached to three different machines on two floors of the house (try to find that one song!!!!!) it would be awesome to actually consolidate all of it and have it accessible!

  377. My private school is low on money and needs a server… If I got this I would donate it to my school so we could use it to store our work on.

    Brennon
  378. I would kick into high gear with video production: I have been amassing clips of local life, family and special events for the last three years. Because of drive space, I have to be very picky about what I move from tape to disk. If I had 750GB, I could keep almost of my clips on the drive and mix-and-match them to build up some great finished work.

    Mike DeWolfe
  379. I would give anything to own the FreeAgent Pro Hard Drive. I DJ a lot of dances and weddings and the greatest comments I get are the vast amounts of different music I have in my collection. Unfortunately I've taken up so much space on my own hard drive and iPod that I'm still rather limited on what I can do. This hard drive will make my life worth living. And will be an amazing conversation piece as well. I'd be sure everyone knows what this is and where I got it!!

    Matt Ritter
  380. Back up downloaded comics.

    Jerry
  381. Frisbees are boring nowadays. You never get cool colors like yellow and black. There's no significance placed on actually catching it. Now, if I store important files on this drive, it brings a new level of importance to a game of frisbee! Plus, with 750 GB, I could store a lot of really important files. Finally, a game of frisbee where there's a stake in dropping it. The tapered edges make it very aerodynamic. The extra base could be used to provide additional lift. The bright lights on it will give me the chance to play frisbee in the dark! Oh, the possibilities are endless!

    Michael
  382. because I've never owned an iPod and it would be great to own the current best iPod on the market, (at least until the iPhoneNano comes out)

    Jaxim
  383. WHAT I WILL DO IF U GIVE ME THE 750 GB DRIVE?

I WILL BLESS YOU FOR LIFE,COZ I AM PLANNING TO BUY 1 IN A COUPLE OF MONTHS.

    chowdary
  384. I would revere you for this life and all eternity.

    Damian Upham
  385. I would use it for Logic Pro… I am a beginner trying to get into the music production scene… sometimes its really hard to get anywhere when you are limited on hard drive space… I would store all my music files on this, and back up my important stuff so that I would never have to worry about losing it… it would suck to get into a year of work and lose it all because you could not afford to back it up…

    Joshua Dwight
  386. I would fill it with music and movies and take it to Iraq with me this summer. We are not allocated a lot of space for personal stuff. This would be perfect.

    Christopher DiSciullo
  387. I would use it to back up our business documents on two office computers. One has already gotten a virus this year and we lost everything. With times being slow right now we could not afford to purchase one of these.
