Joost has 1 million users and will launch within 2007

Joost is reporting that they now have hit the 1 million mark for beta users. Joost is an IPTV startup that delivers personalized streaming television online. Currently still in beta and by invitation only the company has raised $45 million in venture capital this past May. Joost co-founder Niklas Zennstrom has also recently announced that Joost would launch and be open to the public by the end of 2007.

So far Joost has made some great progress and had some good content deals worked out, but it seems like the initial hype has died. I have had Joost for a while now and aside from the short time to test it out and play its been forever since I have logged on. It makes me wonder how many of these 1 million beta testers are actively using Joost.
