Kaiser is translated from German to mean Emporer and the HTC Kaiser bows to no one with a feature spec like: Windows Mobile 6, slide out qwerty, tip up screen, 3MP camera, 3G, and built in GPS. Kaiser marched through the FCC like, well, like a Kaiser does; ripping a path straight to a carrier. But to whom?
Rumors suggest it will become AT&T’s 8925 rather soon. Earlier reports said August as a potential release date, but I suspect September or October to give the iPhone some float time as the top dog.
The feeling out there is AT&T will pick up the camera-less version, the KAIS110; all business all the time…you know for business types. No word on pricing (expected to be in the iPhone range) or official release date.

I'll have to disagree with you. I think AT&T will most likely offer both camera and non-camera versions of the Kaiser (I hope I am right in this case). The 8525 was released in this manner. Additionally I have a slight hunch that the front camera will NOT be removed this time as was done back in Nov-06 when 8525 released. Hopefully we'll be able to thank AT&T's Video Share service for this. Imagine AT&T only has 3 phones compatible with this service upon roll-out. Therefore I think the 8925 would be a perfect candidate since not too many phones come around with a forward facing camera. Finally, I'll have to say that this device will probably be out as the 8925 but no later than August. I choose August because most devices release within 2-3 weeks of the FCC approval. That's my 2 cents.

Question for anyone who might know: Is Rev A, in a covered city, gonna be typically slower than HDSPA? Or vice versa?
I believe Rev A will be faster on the downlink, and lower latency.. and very much faster on the uplink.
Once att turns on the hsUPA feature of their umts network then the uplink and latency speeds may be very similar to rev a.
