Engadget has might have snagged a big story – again. For months rumors have been circulating around a brushed metal iMac, along with MacBook-style keyboards.
Well, that thing pictured above may be the keyboard in question. On a Hong Kong Apple forum, a member named Rhapsody says that he/she has this keyboard and
will sell you the keyboard (s/he has more than one) for 1,200 of the local stuff or about $153.40.
Let’s be reasonable here, shall we? The thing reeks of Photoshop, and even the exif data contains traces of “Photoshop”. Also, the Apple logo is missing from the Command Key, something that has been on every Apple keyboard for quite some time. Additionally, the numeric pad has an equals (=) button. That’s either a Photoshop error or one of Jobs’ innovations.
Other than these gaffes, the amount of pictures of the device makes it look pretty legit. Again, rumors have it that the new iMac will be out sometime in August.
Oh, and the keyboard is aluminum, which just might confirm the brushed-metal iMac rumors.
