It seems Jack at Infendo has stumbled upon a juicy piece of Nintendo news. The hunk o’ news in question is the price of Nintendo’s upcoming anti-couch potato device fitness game, Wii Fit.
As they do with all their emails, Gamestop throws in a little sidebar with a few notable upcoming titles. In the sidebar was the information, a cool 70 dollar price tag. Personally, I think that’s a bit steep; then again, I think this is a stupid game where you lean side to side. Yet, in an objective point of view, that’s not all that bad for a game that would promote a healthy lifestyle to the public.
Jack is also speculating (with the help from some little birdies)
that Nintendo might drop the price of the system at that time [of the Wii Fit's launch] and sell the WiiFit/Wii console package for $250.
An interesting prospect, though I’d like to purchase a Wii in the coming months and I’d rather see the system bundled with Wii Sports (if not another title).
A note: Though Jack mentions that the Wii Fit page on Gamestop does not provide adequate details, that has since changed. Click through the links at the bottom for more.
