VIA has announced NanoBook, an ultra mobile device, in early June. The NanoBook uses a 1.2GHz VIA C7-M processor and runs on Windows XP. It is designed with a 7-inch WVGA display and comes with other specs that include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, up to 1GB RAM and a 30GB or 60GB hard drive. As stated, the NanoBook’s mobility plus module works like a “prototype VoIP phone” which allows users to connect any peripherals much easier. The retail price for NanoBook is likely to be approximately $600.
