Dell, who failed with their own iPod ‘beater’ and who already resell a number of personal music players, are buying Zing.
No terms available, but Zing who “makes software to connect personal music players to live streams and other online content”, and was founded by Tim Bucher in 2006. Could this enable Dell to develop it’s own Wi-Fi portable player? Why they think they would succeed this time around in a market that is already remarkably crowded and dominated by Apple is anyones guess. But they do say, the third time’s a charm.
