Alltel LogoAlltel has officially launched their video on demand service. The new service called Axcess TV currently has more than 200 on demand clips that are available when ever or where ever you want to watch. Axcess TV will be offered in two plans. The basic package is $3.99 and offer clips from NBC News, NBC Entertainment, FOXSports.com, Discovery Mobile, and MTV Networks’ MTV, VH1, and Comedy Central. The premium package is $5.99 and that offers clips from NBC Sports, “Access Hollywood”, IGN Entertainment, BravoToGo, USA Mobile, SCI FI Channel, Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, MTV Networks’ CMT, Spike, Nickelodeon and more.

Axcess TV service can be added to the Spanish language MobiTV service for an additional $9.99 a month or the MyWaves service for an additional $3.99 a month.

Axcess TV seems to have a good variety of content from a wide selection of channels. I understand that downloading full or longer content would be time consuming and something that many people would not use, but at some point I would like to see the availability of full show downloads at least as an option, even if that means a slightly higher price per month.
