Magellan Triton, hand-held, GPS systems

The company Magellan, famous for its GPS systems, has launched a new line of hand-held GPS systems. With the new interface, Magellan hopes that this new GPS can facilitate finding directions for users while traveling.

There is going to be a two versions of the Triton 2000, one basic, and one fully-loaded. The basic comes with the ability to download National Geographic maps to make sure that you are never lost again when traveling. The more advanced units comes with additional features. Most notable include a digital compass, a waterproof casing, a barometer, a LED flashlight, a two-megapixel camera, and a 2.7-inch QVGA touchscreen. Also, you are able to record audio files if you ever want to make note of where you are.

Expect the Triton 2000 to hit the states sometime next month for the price of $499. However, if that doesn’t seem to fit your budget, you can buy a the basic version for far less.
