During April and May, most laptop manufacturers went on a Santa Rosa binge, integrating the chipset into as many product lines as they could; Sony was no exception. Though their FZ notebook underwent upgrades, Sony has decided to give the line a refresh.
Fittingly named the FZ2, the new notebooks integrate 15.4″ WXGA displays (the same as the FZs) but the processors get a bump to Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 or T7500.
Both models start out with 2GB of RAM, 250 gigs of Hard Drive space, and the user choice of a DVD or Blu-ray disk drive.
The T7500 model contains a NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GT graphics card.
The release date is still up in the air, but the models will run you $1,299 for the lower end, and $1,399 for the higher end.
