Could it be Apple is offering a special version of the iPod touch to Germany? The German language Apple iPod site swaps a photo of Zoolander on the American iPod side to this bicycle stunt video and adds what appears to be a Bluetooth icon to the upper right corner. Does this mean the touch will have Bluetooth for everyone or just Germany?
The answers to those questions probably don’t matter as I strongly suspect the image was lifted from the iPhone and dragged and dropped onto the touch’s screen. Why would Jobs leave off a nice feature like Bluetooth compatibility and possible internet anytime via your cell phone connection off from his dramatic intro? Would Apple save it for the release party?
Doubtful. I am sticking with it was stolen art from the iPhone. What is your take?

Bluetooth would be a really nice feature for the iPod, (ability to use bluetooth headphones, perhaps connect to other iPods or phones) but I think that Steve Jobs would almost certainly have announced such a feature, and not just have people suddenly find out when they purchase them. Besides, of all the close up shots of the screen, the videos showing how it works, this is the only picture I've seen that shows that it might have bluetooth.
That's a "Play Icon" not a Bluetooth icon you doof! Go to techinical specifications on the German site, it says that it is 802.11 only.
OMG this is soo much crap, its just a mistake, lol…. There wont b a special version for Germany, its jjust a mistake…. if they were ever going to be making a special version it wud b in the US! Germany doestn have the iphoen yet together with the rest of europe, so a special edition??? for when??? 2008/9/10?
Oh BTW, Apple ROCKS!! the best company in the world!!!!
Even if it is a bluetooth sign there is now a application for jailbroken ipod users to have the bluetooth sign in their bar.
Pointless application I know but its just to trick people.
8GB Ipod touch owner
Jailbroken 1.1.1fm
The ipod touch may or may Not have the bluetooth feature in my case i hope it does but it is unlikely.
However some ipods have been sold to customers in the test mode that has a list of things such as headphones, wifi, serial number ect and it even has a ipod tempreature sensor that is obviosly not a feature in the ipod that can be accesed in the normal ipod mode. This means that apple is keeping things from us. also in the list of things along side tempreature is a bluetooth icon with a red cross on it. Is this apple keeping more things from us or is this screen simply the same screen as the iphone test mode wich explains the bluetooth. Anyway this is the link to a picture of this screen.
