New iPod models deserve new cases

Already, a day or two after the Apple Event with the new iPod Touch, iPod Classic, and iPod Nano and there are new cases from big name manufactures such as Belkin. These cases, Belkin claims, are designed to protect and make your iPod look fashionable.

Belkin launched seven new cases for the new iPod’s yesterday, beginning with the Sport Armband Plus designed for all three iPod’s selling for $29.99 each. It features:

• Breathable, sweat-reducing Coolmax material designed to reduce moisture during workouts
• Small and lightweight on your arm
• Included mini-pouch to store headphones when not being used
• Hand-washable
• Included pocket for your key or another for earbud storage
• See-through screen and navigation protector
• Adjustable hook-fastening system designed to fit even the slimmest or fattest of arms

The next case they released is just the Sport Armband and it costs for $19.99 for all models except the Touch, which costs $29.99.

• Light and portable design and stretchable neoprene material
• Included pocket for key or earbud storage, like other case
• Water-resistant and hand-washable
• Clear screen and navigation protector
• Adjustable Velcro closure to fit any arm

The next two cases are similar, one is a metal case and the other is an acrylic case. Acrylic is for all iPods and the Nano case costs $24.99 and the Classic and Touch both cost $29.99. The details on the acrylic as follows:

The metal case is just for Nano ($24.99) and Classic ($29.99)

Lastly, we have the Silicone case for the iPod Nano and it costs $14.99 and the Classic and Touch both cost $19.99. These are the cheapest cases available from Belkin.

It looks like Belkin wants to get a head start on designing cases and looks to make a nice profit. They plan to be released in early October in North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
