David Wantanabe, developer of Newsfire, may have discovered upcoming movie rentals in the iTunes store. While reporting a problem, Wantanabe found strings that read:
“MZCancellationReason.DidNotReceive-RentalMovie”
This, along with several other strings, suggest that Movie Rentals will indeed make their way to iTunes. Indeed, it would seem if the service is imminent.
Then again, weren’t strings that hinted at Apple TV Games found months ago? How’s that working out? However, truth be told, the iTunes store is probably doing much better than the Apple TV has, so changes to the iTMS would result a bigger payoff for Apple.
