Geek Squad UK have launched the MyGeek subscription service that will allow you to have your computer maintained and repaired remotely. The service offers 24/7 telephone support where they can correct any software related problem. In addition to the phone and remote connection support they also offer discounts on home visits. Normally the MyGeek subscription will cost £10/month but they are offering a special rate of £7/month if you sign up before October 31st.
While I like the remote service idea and think that this could help ease the pain of many family geeks who always have to spend precious time doing free repair work, I am not sure I like the idea of Geek Squad having remote access.
