Rumor: Apple TV Update to Include iTunes Music Store

Very much a rumor at this stage but a number of sites are reporting that the next AppleTV update will include the iTunes Store. One of the criticisms of the AppleTV from day one has been the inability to purchase directly, without having to go through the computer. I am guessing that somehow the recent iPod Touch announcement to enable you to buy directly probably has something to do with this.

IF this were true, then what next? They have increased the hard drive already, people have hacked it to run OS X, so maybe they should just go the whole 9 yards and merge it with the Mac mini.
