Sony NW-S710F and NW-S610F Video Walkman

Sony has announced two additions to the Video Walkman family, the NW-S710F and S610F. These models are pretty much identical in terms of features:

• 1.8 inch LCD supporting a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels
• MPEG-4 AVC/H.264, MP3, WMA, and ATARAC support (WMA DRM in the US and European models as well)
• FM tuner, Digital Sound Enhancement Engine and a easy to use search engine
• Battery charges via USB and offers 33 hours of audio and 9.5 hours of video playback

The S710F also has a noise canceling feature and will be available in three capacities 8, 4 and 2GB, and in pink, blue and black. The NW-S610F will come in 4GB and 2GB capacities and two additional colors of red and white.

Measuring 79.5×42×11.5mm, weighing 50 grams and compatible only with Windows, they will go on sale in Japan from October 20 with prices starting from $135 for 2GB to $250 for 8GB version.
