Without to much surprise regarding the specs Palm has officially announced the Treo 500v. It will be launched on the Vodaphone network and will be available in both the charcoal (Charcoal Grey) and white (Glacier White) finish. The Treo 500v will be running Windows Mobile 6 and be 3G/UMTS but unfortunately is not going to have a touchscreen. Other features include a 320×240-pixel screen, Bluetooth 2.0, 256MB memory with 150MB available user storage, a microSD slot for extra storage, a 2.0 megapixel camera with 2.5x digital zoom and video capture and up to 4.5 hours of talk time with 10 days standby.
While the 500v is far from a breakthrough release, I do think it has some potential and look forward to what else Palm has to offer with future Treo’s.
