Aspyr Media, popular Mac game developers, have recently announced that they will bring Guitar Hero III to the Mac and PC platforms. The game, fully titled Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, is also releasing on Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360.
Songs are licensed from real (good) bands, and are similar to that of those on the console iterations. The controller is a smaller version of the aforementioned console versions, full with colored buttons on the neck, strumming and whammy bar. The controller interfaces through USB and takes the form of a Gibson guitar.
Both versions will ship in a box incorporating the game and controller. Mac and PC users can go head-to-head over the internet; a nifty cross platform feature.
These versions should be expected a couple weeks after the console games release in October.
