drug bust via text message

This should go without saying, do not send text messages if you are not 100% positive of the recipient especially if you are looking to make a drug transaction. Keep in mind that telephone numbers can change owners from time to time. Recently a UK man sent a text message to a friends number, the problem is that his friend has disconnected his service and the number now belonged to a State Policeman. The text message simply asked if he “wanted to buy some reefer”.

Like any police office he jumped at the offer and tracked down the message sender. Charges are still pending, but I would assume that the message sender will be taking a little more care when sending any drug related text messages in the future.
