Give your Mac the finger (scanner)

Funny things fingerprint scanners are, in that they look cool, but is hard to really get excited about using one. Finding one for the Mac was a little like the ‘needle in a haystack’, in that pretty much everyone that you came across was PC only.

Well the Eiko Digital Privacy Manager from Upek does work with your Mac, and it only costs $40. It even looks pretty cool, but are you going to use it? It is reasonable to assume that your data is secure enough in your own home, so that leaves the notebook when you are out and about. But ….. are you really going to carry this around with you and plug it into the USB drive every time? I somehow doubt it.
