Verizon makes a policy change in favor of the customers

Verizon has announced that as of October 7th they will be making a policy change regarding customer requested rate plan changes. This time the change will be in favor of the customers and will no longer extend your contract simply because you change you rate plan.

“Verizon Wireless once again demonstrates that our number one priority is delivering the most customer-friendly wireless experience in the U.S. marketplace. Our commitment to our customers is why we lead the industry in customer loyalty and why more customers use the Verizon Wireless brand than any other,” said Jack Plating, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Verizon Wireless.

It seems that Verizon is proud of themselves with this change and I sort of agree. Its nice to see a policy change that is in favor of the customer and not something that will spark a bunch of calls from angry customers. It was always a bad feeling when you had to extend that 2 year agreement just because you realized that you should have taken a larger rate plan.
