Toshiba’s sub-$200 HD DVD player now available at Circuit City

The long awaited sub-$200 HD DVD player that is rumored to be on-sale at Wal-Mart beginning November 3rd is already for sale at Circuit City. The Toshiba HD-A2 HD DVD player is currently available at Circuit City’s website for just $197.99. The HD-A2 has 1080i support with Dolby Digital Plus 5.1, Dolby TrueHD 5.1, DTS 5.1 and DTS HD and has one HDMI 1.2 port. While its not the 1080p that some may hope for this appears to be a quality HD DVD player for a great price. With both Wal-Mart and Circuit City offering the HD-A2 for under $200 its just a matter of time before other retailers follow.
