Sony Ericsson has just released a 3G USB modem, the MD300 is Sony Ericsson’s first Sony Ericsson Mobile Broadband product with a USB interface. The MD300 has support for HSDPA, UMTS, EDGE or GPRS networks and offers speeds up to 3.6 Mbps down. The MD300 will work with Windows 2000, XP and Vista or Mac OS X. The drivers will auto-install on the PC when the modem is first plugged in, the Mac drivers will be available for download. The MD300 will be available beginning in early 2008 in your choice of luxury black or metallic silver. Pricing has not yet been announced.
