Thinking of upgrading your router to 802.11n? Ars Technica has a review on four different routers which include the Netgear RangeMax Next, Linksys WRT350N, D-Link XtremeN and Apple AirPort Extreme. According to Ars, Apple’s AirPort Extreme only router that supports the 5 GHz spectrum. With 5 GHz 802.11n, it offers less interference with household devices such as cordless phones. Besides that, the AirPort Extreme features a USB port that makes sharing a USB hard drive or printer easy. However, do take note that not all devices are 802.11n capable.
