Sony Memory Stick Pro 16GB

It is rumored that Sony is planning to drop a 16GB Memory Stick PRO in January 2008 during CES.

The Memory Stick, Sony’s proprietary portable storage card, has been widely considered a flop. Even Sony has been integrated SD card slots into their products. However, by launching a Memory Stick with such a large storage capacity the format may gain some needed attention.

This rumor will probably be true, as it was last CES where Sony unveiled 8GB Memory Sticks. Nevertheless, this format is all but done for, with less and less products supporting it each day it’s doomed to be destroyed.

  1. I don't think that Sony will unleash a 16gb memory stick unless they charge about $300 for it. I mean really, what could someone do with 16gb of memory on their psp but download iso games and play them on their hacked psp. Trust me, I know. That's the very reason why I want them to come out with the 16gb.

Like I stated before, if Sony does come out with this, their going to charge about $300 for it. That way, even though the hackers are downloading their games for free, it kind of makes up for it because you're paying $300 just to play maybe $200 worth of games. See what I mean? Nobody is actually going to have 16gb worth of movies and music, and definitely not pictures on their psp. If they do, then they seriously need some help.

I know more and more hackers are demanding this 16gb, but it's going to be mega expensive. What we need to do is find a way to hook a flash drive to a psp memory slot. I wouldn't mind the flash drive sticking out. It's still small, which makes it portable.
