Sony has just announced two new Blu-ray players, the BDP-S300 and the BDP-S500. Both models support 24p True Cinema, Bravia Theater Sync, 1080p High Definition picture, 7.1 channel surround sound, 1080p DVD upscale and AVC-HD disc playback. The BDP-S500 also supports BD-R disc playback and has a motorized sliding door.
The BDP-S300 retails for about $880 and the BDP-S500 retails for around $1300, both players are currently shipping with Spider-Man 3.
