Alltel announces child tracking service; kids lose their phones

Alltel has announced the Axcess Family Finder, a new tool that will allow parents to locate their children. It comes complete with interactive maps that allow parents to monitor their location(s) throughout the day and will allow parents to identify frequently visited spots and set up “Scheduled Checks” to automatically check during the day. Parents can also opt to receive a text message letting them know their kids location.

Aside from keeping track of children, or possibly a spouse that may act like a child the Axcess Family Finder could also be used to help guide a family member to a specific location.

The Axcess Family Finder service is provided by WaveMarket and will cost an additional $10 per child person.
