AT&T is giving us either a holiday gift or yet another reason to hate custom cell phone ringtones, in this case it just depends on which side you are on. AT&T will be offering a selection of games, answer tones and ringtones for free this holiday season. Existing AT&T customers can text the word GIFT to 7230 and in return will get the option for the download of their choice. Users will have the option to download the following:
Ringtones:
Jingle Bells
The Dreidel Song
Noche de Paz
Answer Tones:
Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree by Cyndi Lauper
Wizards in Winter by Trans-Siberian Orchestra
Feliz Navidad by Jose Feliciano
Games:
Santa’s Tower Bloxx by Digital Chocolate
Normally I would be very appreciative of any gift, however with the case of ringtones I can only imagine the added noise pollution this holiday season. Ringtones can be annoying when used in public, there is a vibrate/silent mode for a reason.
