LaCie has been known for its extravagantly designed hard drives, often handing over control of the design to other companies, i.e. their Porsche line of external hard drives.
Now, LaCie has called upon Neil Poulton to design their latest set of external hard drives. Poulton has designed the new drives with a checklist similar to LaCie’s older drives; sleek, barely marked, and sexy. All that is visible on the drive is a fan grate, a power switch and the USB 2.0 jacks.
These external hard drives will be available for sale beginning in January, though pre-orders are being accepted right now. Storage will run from 320GB through 1TB, pricing is set at $119 to $399 respectively.
