If you are a customer of DNA Direct, a swab is used to take a DNA sample. The company then dries the genetic material and adds a synthetic stabilizer.

It’s all part of a kit, which includes three test tubes containing your genetic material. When samples are needed, they go through a simple process of re-hydration.
