Palm updates the AT&T branded Treo 680

Palm has been busy with the Treo updates, having just updated the Treo 750, they have now announced an update for the AT&T branded Treo 680. This update was originally rumored to be ‘coming soon’ back in October, while its been a long wait, it seems like it should be worth it. The update, now at version 2.11 adds:

• Push-to-talk
• Power Saving Enhancements
• Support for Microsoft’s Push email
• Instant Messaging support for AOL, Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo!
• Improved access for TeleNav GPS Navigator and MobiTV
• Support for up to 4GB SD expansion cards, including SDHC format
• Enhanced Ringtone support to include MP3, AAC, AAC+, MIDI, WAV, and AMR formats
• Re-branding from Cingular to AT&T

In addition to this AT&T branded update, Palm is also still promising a similar update for unlocked/unbranded Treo 680′s.
