To be featured at the up and coming CES in Las Vegas and the 3GSM Conference in Barcelona this coming February, Microvision’s new hand-held “plug and play” prototype projector is sure to steal the show. It breaks the former barrier presented by small screens for mobile television and business presentations.
A proprietary ultra-miniature, PicoP display engine powers the projector, which Microvision code-named SHOW. It is compact, stands alone and can be connected to mobile devices including phones, MP3 players, laptops and other portable media players. The screen can be magnified from 12 inches to 100 inches, depending on distance and focus. The instructions are simple; connect the projector and point it to any clean wall (if you can find one). This battery-powered projector has a battery life of 2.5 hours, which is enough time to view most non-epic films.
If you are in Las Vegas or Barcelona during the time of these two big exhibits, you can catch a demo of this amazing projector. Better hurry. Seating is limited.
