Soyo, like Norcent, a not very popular company, has been recently working on 2 new TV’s for CES, one being a 32 incher and the other being a 24 incher.
Beginning with the nameless 32-inch TV, it comes with two HDMI inputs, one component input, two composite inputs, and one SPDIF audio out. It will come with a contrast ratio of 1,500:1, producing a brighter and much better picture. Additionally, it boasts 500cd/m2 brightness as well as a color display of 10.7 billion colors. The price of this plasma TV is $499, no word on availability as of yet.
Meanwhile, the 24-inch LCD HDTV isn’t too shabby either. It comes with a 1080p resolution, 2 HDMI inputs, as well as 2 component. Some other cool features include picture-in-picture, as well as picture-on-picture. Similar to the 32-inch TV, it comes with a 500cd/m2 brightness, but only a 1,000:1 ratio. The price of this model is $699, there is no word on availability for this TV either .
Edward Chien, who is the Director of Product Management for SOYO, had this to say regarding the new TV’s,
“With the 24 inch LCD HDTV and 32 inch Plasma TV we are expanding our flat panel line of TVs. We feel these products give the consumer high resolution in a small size, which is not very common in the market right now. We are also very excited to debut product utilizing Plasma Technology at CES and are looking forward to using this technology in future products.”
Be sure to check out their CES booth for more information regarding this and other Soyo products.
